Do I need a sewing machine to follow this course?
Yes! This course is about using a sewing machine! The machine I use for the lessons is a Bernina 1008 mechanical machine, and there are many mechanical machines which are perfect for beginners, and low priced too!
Check out this guide on the different types of sewing machines if you do not yet have one!
Will I learn sewing techniques in this course?
No. This is my course on understanding how your sewing machine works so that you can feel confident using it. I currently have many beginner friendly sewing tutorials on my website for you to learn sewing techniques - and I have a lesson linking to them all inside the course - but if requested I will create a beginner sewing techniques course too.
How is the course delivered?
The course is an online video course that you can play, pause and rewatch as often as you need. Because it is hosted separately from my website, there are no ads and you can watch again and again.
Almost all the lessons are video based, with the camera 'over my shoulder' so that you can see exactly what I see, and learn from me as I go.
How long do I have access to the course?
For the lifetime of the course - and if the course were to be removed in the distant future, you'll be invited to download the materials before they are deleted.
